Eastbound lanes on Interstate-285 have reopened after a major crash shut the motorway outside Chamblee-Dunwoody this morning.
The crash involved multiple vehicles including an overturned tractor trailer, a flatbed trailer and a Dunwoody Police cruiser.
According to Dunwoody Police, one of their officers was working an accident on the right shoulder and, as traffic was slowing down for that accident, a commercial vehicle struck another vehicle and caused a chain reaction crash.
Traffic was stopped in the area for roughly two hours.
A truck driver was taken to the hospital, that person's condition is unknown. The officer was not injured.
