Man taken to hospital after possible road rage shooting on I-285 exit to South Fulton Parkway/Old National Highway

Police are still looking for the suspect who could possibly be behind the shooting. A description of the suspect was not released.

FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — A man is now in the hospital after a possible road rage shooting at the major exit off I-285 on Wednesday, according to South Fulton Police.

It happened on I-285 South at the exit to South Fulton Parkway and Old National Highway where police said around 11:50 a.m. they found a man shot in the thigh. Authorities added the man was expected to be OK.

The incident closed the road for hours as police investigated the shooting. According to GDOT cameras, the road appears to be reopened as of 5 p.m. 

Authorities added that "in a separate, but potentially related incident," a woman said she saw a man point a gun at her car around the same time and location. The woman was not hurt, police said. She told officers she continued driver and contacted the police in College Park leaving the scene. 

Police are still looking for the suspect who could be behind the shooting. A description of the suspect was not released.

A $2,000 reward is being offered to anyone who can give identifying information or a name.
