COBB COUNTY, Ga. — The I-285 East exit ramp to I-75 North been closed for hours Tuesday morning after a tractor-trailer overturned, spilling trash all over the roadway in Cobb County.
According to the Georgia Department of Transportation on Tuesday morning, it happened on Interstate 285 in the eastbound lane exit to Interstate 75 a little before 6 a.m.
Crews were called out around 5:48 a.m. and are expected to have lanes cleared by 8:30 a.m.
Cobb County Police said county fire units and EMS responded, and the driver was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in an ambulance with an injury. The extent of that injury was not clear.
The 11Alive Skytracker flew over the scene, where debris from the truck could be seen spilled onto the highway.
