DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A wreck closed multiple lanes on I-285 West in DeKalb County, causing significant backup early Friday morning.

It happened at Chamblee Dunwoody Road and was initially blocking two right lanes, as well as the right shoulder. There was no immediate word on potential injuries in the incident or when it would be cleared.

Traffic cameras showed backup stretching down into the Eastside Perimeter past Buford Highway.

The 11Alive SkyTracker flew over the scene, which showed the wreck occurred on a parallel surface street - Cotillion Drive - necessitating lane closures on I-285 because a pickup truck was positioned over a guardrail where it could slip and fall down onto the interstate.
