DUNWOODY, Ga. — UPDATE 6(10:10 a.m.): This has now cleared.
UPDATE 5 (9:15 a.m.): The estimated end time is now 10:15 a.m.
Dunwoody Police have also issued a release in this incident, stating two three-vehicle crashes occurred. After the first collision, the second occurred in the area and one of the drivers from the first collision, who was standing outside their car, was hit and killed.
Police said five other people involved in the crashes were taken to hospitals with injuries not considered life-threatening.
UPDATE 4 (9:00 a.m.): Lanes remain closed in this incident, and the estimated end time has again been pushed farther back to 9:30 a.m.
UPDATE 3 (8:10 a.m.): All lanes still closed, with the estimated end time now pushed to 8:30 a.m.
UPDATE 2 (7:30 a.m.): 11Alive's Jerry Carnes has confirmed this is a fatal crash. All lanes remain closed and the anticipated end time is now being given as 7:45 a.m.
UPDATE: Dunwoody Police have now posted about this incident:
"TRAFFIC ALERT Crash investigation I-285 WB at Chamblee Dunwoody Rd. Expect heavy delays throughout your morning commute. Plan accordingly. (AS)"
As of 6:30 a.m., lanes are still blocked. Delays are now stretching almost as far back as I-85.

A crash has blocked multiple lanes on I-285 West early Monday morning.
The crash involved two cars and a tractor trailer, 11Alive's Jerry Carnes reports. There was no immediate word on possible injuries.
According to the Georgia Department of Transportation 511 maps, as of 5:20 a.m. there were four right lanes blocked in the incident.
The crash happened just past Chamblee Dunwoody Road. Maps showed delays stretching past North Shallowford Road.
An estimated end time was given as 7 a.m.
