CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — UPDATE: The Georgia Department of Transportation has confirmed this was a fatal crash. As of 7 a.m. the ramp continues to be closed and traffic in this direction continues to be diverted off at Old Dixie Highway.

A crash has closed the ramp feeding I-75 North to I-285 East in Clayton County early Friday morning.
The main eastbound portion of I-285 East is open in the area, but the long connector lane from I-75 North has been closed and traffic is being diverted off to Old Dixie Highway.
It was not initially clear if there were serious injuries in the wreck.
The Georgia Department of Transportation 511 website listed an estimated end time for the situation of 6 a.m.
