COWETA COUNTY, Ga. — A tractor trailer wreck has caused a shutdown of Interstate 85 north in Coweta County on Wednesday morning.

According to a Georgia Department of Transportation alert, all lanes are blocked before State Route 14/US-27 and "motorists are urged to use an alternate route to avoid delays."

A GDOT estimate doesn't have the situation being cleared until after 9 a.m.

It's unclear if there were serious injuries in the wreck.

11Alive Traffic Tracker Crash Clark reports traffic is being diverted at Hwy. 29, and recommends using that as an alternate. Hwy. 29 can get you to US-27, which can take you back up to I-85 just beyond where the shutdown is in place.
