DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Lanes are blocked due to a jackknifed tractor-trailer on Interstate 285 in DeKalb County, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.
It happened on Wednesday in the westbound lanes past Interstate 20 on the east side of the county. GDOT reported that two of the westbound lanes are closed.
The crash was reported around 4 a.m. and was expected to be cleared by 5:30 a.m., but officials have extended that to 7 a.m.
Officials have not released any other information about the crash and how it happened. 11Alive Reporter Jerry Carnes said drivers looking to travel the west wall should use the Downtown Connector instead.
