Multi-vehicle crash causing significant traffic delays on I-20 east, GDOT says

This is a developing story.

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A multi-vehicle crash is causing significant delays on I-20 east in DeKalb County on Wednesday afternoon during rush hour traffic, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.

GDOT said the crash happened on I-20 eastbound past Gresham Road -- exit 63 -- in Decatur. Two left lanes are blocked. The agency said there are significant traffic delays in the area. It encourages drivers to seek alternative routes and to be safe.

DeKalb County Police said there were three vehicles involved, and one person complained of injuries and was taken to the hospital. At one point, all lanes were closed. Now, it appears only two are closed as crews work to clean up the wreck.
