PALMETTO, Ga. — A bicyclist is dead after an accident involving a tractor-trailer in southern Fulton County on Monday evening.
Palmetto Police Chief Bryan Hergesell confirmed the basic details of the accident, which happened near the intersection of Roosevelt Highway (US-29) and Palmetto Logistic Parkway.
Hergesell said the Georgia State Patrol is handling the investigation. It's not yet clear how the accident happened, who was at fault, or if charges are pending.
The victim hasn't yet been publicly identified by police. 11Alive is working to gather more information from the Georgia State Patrol.
