ATLANTA — Peach Pass holders, listen up! The State Road and Tollway Authority has announced it is updating its system, which could impact you.
To avoid possible toll violations, pass holders are asked to update their accounts, including credit card and vehicle information, by Wednesday, Dec. 11.
In addition, account access will be temporarily unavailable starting on Dec. 12. The Tollway Authority said, though, that the "enforcement of tolls will remain active during this maintenance period."
If you use the Peach Pass app, you'll need to upload a new one from the app store starting on Dec. 17.
According to the Tollway Authority, usernames and passwords will be transferred to the new system, and customers can continue to use their existing login credentials, including their existing Peach Pass PIN.
In addition, here are some other things to keep in mind, via the Peach Pass website, due to the changes:
- The automatic replenishment amount will be charged quarterly to the designated card based on usage totals. Customers may opt out of this feature, if desired.
- Manual online payments will only be allowed for accounts when the payment amount is sufficient to bring the account back into good standing – to the threshold amount – or when the payment exceeds the threshold amount.
- The new mobile app will be used for account services only and will no longer offer the non-toll-mode declaration option for carpoolers. Peach Pass Customers who carpool along the I-85 Express and I-85 Extension Express Lanes must download the new Peach Pass Verify Mobile App from the Apple Store and/or Google Play Store to claim free toll benefits. Starting December 2nd, Peach Pass Verify will be the only way for Peach Pass Customers to claim carpool benefits.
