LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Authorities worked for hours to clear a serious accident on involving a tractor-trailer in Gwinnett on Sunday.
The accident happened on southbound Interstate 85 near Steve Reynolds Boulevard - not far from Beaver Ruin Road - in Gwinnett County and police said several vehicles were involved and at least one serious injury was reported.
Southbound traffic remained almost completely blocked for hours with one lane occasionally opening to help alleviate congestion. The accident blocked most lanes until almost midnight.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation and few details have been released.
