DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Lanes have cleared after an incident that drew police and firefighters to Spaghetti Junction in DeKalb County, Sunday.
Details provided by the Georgia Department of Transportation were limited. However, the agency reported all eastbound lanes of I-285 were blocked near the interchange with I-85 for hours.
State estimates suggested the roadway could have remained closed as late as 8 p.m. But when that hour came, lanes were still closed as cars continued to back up. State traffic maps, at one point, showed congestion building up as far back as Peachtree Industrial Boulevard.
