Lanes reopen after police presence on I-75 northbound in Cobb County prompted closures

The Cobb County Police Department said they were in the area of I-75 N before Delk Rd.

COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Lanes on I-75 northbound have now reopened after law enforcement was stopped in the area, according to the Cobb County Police Department.

This is after several lanes were blocked on I-75 N before Delk Road on Wednesday evening during rush hour traffic.

11Alive's SkyTracker flew over the area and saw Marietta Police and Cobb County Police stopped around a truck on the interstate.

The Cobb County Police Department said its officers were in the area as they received calls about a person possibly suffering from a mental health episode and it being a traffic hazard.
