GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — A tractor trailer veered off the road and crashed into a QT parking lot on Thursday morning in a striking scene in Gwinnett County.
Norcross Police said there were an unspecified number of injuries they responded to. Georgia State Patrol said the severity of the injuries is still unknown.
GSP said traffic was stopped at the signal at the corner of Jimmy Carter Boulevard and Brook Hollow Parkway when the tractor trailer struck at least two other cars from behind, went off the road and through a retaining wall into the QT parking lot.
Aerial video showed the truck overturned at the QT just shy of the gas pumps, appearing to have hit several other cars in the parking lot.
According to GSP, at least 10 vehicles were involved in the wreck.
The truck was lying on its side with what appeared to be several very large cylinder containers spilling out from the trailer's roof, which ripped open.
GSP is handling the investigation because it occurred along a State Route.
