SMYRNA, Ga. — Traffic is at a standstill in Smyrna along South Cobb Drive due to a multi-vehicle crash Wednesday evening.
Georgia Department of Transportation issued an alert announcing all lanes are blocked at South Cobb Drive at Oak Drive. The crash brought down a power pole, according to officials.
This is also causing backups on South Cobb at Interstate 285. Drivers are urged to avoid using I-285 north and southbound exits at South Cobb Drive (Exit 15).
As of 5 p.m., GDOT is advising drivers to use Atlanta Road as an alternate route.
