Lanes open after crash past Riverside Drive on I-285 in Fulton County: GDOT

Information on how the crash happened or if anyone was hurt has not been released by authorities.

FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — Lanes are back open following a crash on Interstate 285 in Fulton County on Wednesday, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.

It happened in the eastbound lanes past Riverside Drive, and two center lanes were blocked. GDOT said crews were called out to the area around 6:10 a.m. and expected to have lanes cleared by 6:40 a.m. 

Information on how the crash happened or if anyone was hurt has not been released by authorities. 

11Alive Traffic Expert Crash Clark said to escape the traffic, use I-75 South into Midtown, then take I-85 North to Georgia 400 North. Those who are willing to use surface streets can take Aker Mills, Powers Ferry and Heards Ferry Roads.
