Plane Train at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport operating again after maintenance issue, officials say

It was temporarily down due to a maintenance issue and crews are working to address the problem, officials said in a statement.

ATLANTA — The Plane Train went down temporarily at the Atlanta airport on Friday amid the busy Thanksgiving holiday rush, according to Hartsfield-Jackson officials.

It happened due to a maintenance issue and crews worked to address the problem, officials said in a statement.

In an update, Airport officials said the issue has been addressed and it's back up and running. While it was down, customer service representatives helped passengers get to their terminals.

Earlier this week, on Wednesday, the airport reported its busiest morning rush in history. According to the airport, Transportation Security Administration agents screened just more than 32,000 passengers at security checkpoints by 8 a.m.
