ATLANTA — A Delta Air Lines flight headed from Paris to Atlanta was diverted to Dublin, Ireland, on Wednesday in order to remove an unruly passenger, the airline said in a statement to 11Alive.
Delta Flight 83 took off in Paris at 9:13 a.m. and was scheduled to land in Atlanta at 12:45 p.m. The Airbus A330 aircraft was diverted to Dublin midway through.
In a statement, a Delta spokesperson said that the airline has "zero tolerance for unruly behavior and will work with law enforcement authorities" in order to continue the investigation into the passenger who was removed.
The flight has since departed Dublin to head to its original destination of Atlanta.
A passenger aboard Delta Flight 83, Brad Curtis, captured video of the moment the passenger was escorted off the plane in handcuffs and into the back of a police cruiser at the airport.
11Alive is working to learn if the passenger will face any charges.
