Delta issues statement following flight with 'uncomfortable temperatures'

The flight from Las Vegas to Atlanta ultimately had to be canceled.

ATLANTA — Delta Air Lines is apologizing following a recent flight from Las Vegas to Atlanta which had to be canceled due to "uncomfortable temperatures."

The airline noted that one passenger on board also sought treatment by first responders due to the heat.

However, there was no mention about how hot the internal cabin temperature got nor how long passengers were on board before the flight was ultimately canceled.

A report from CNN notes that the airport in Las Vegas recorded temperatures of more than 100 degrees on Monday, with a high of 115 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

The following is Delta's official statement:

“We apologize for the experience our customers had on flight 555 from Las Vegas to Atlanta on July 17, which ultimately resulted in a flight cancelation. Delta teams are looking into the circumstances that led to uncomfortable temperatures inside the cabin and we appreciate the efforts of our people and first responders at Harry Reid International.”
