Frontier Airlines adds nonstop service from Atlanta to Guatemala, Dominican Republic

The flights will run from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta airport starting in May.

ATLANTA — Georgians can now visit five new nonstop destinations just in time for summer travel with Frontier Airlines' new service. 

The budget airline announced "seasonal nonstop service" from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport to Guatemala City, Guatemala, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and San Diego starting in May.

Officials with the company also said they will restart the service from Atlanta to Ontario, California and Salt Lake City.

Frontier has lowered fares to celebrate their new flight service that start at $79 for domestic flights, according to the airline.

The airline said that after the new flights, Hartsfield-Jackson will be their third largest operation.

“Atlanta is one of Frontier’s fastest growing markets. We are proud to connect Atlanta to 10 international destinations and 28 U.S. destinations,” said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president of commercial, Frontier Airlines. 

The company said they hope to continue to expand their services at the world's busiest airport.
