SAVANNAH, Ga. — A new survey from Travel + Leisure ranked the top 15 best cities in the United States in 2024. One city in the Peach State made the list.

The cities were ranked based on their sights and landmarks, culture, food, friendliness, shopping and value, the survey stated. More than 700,000 votes were cast across over 8,700 properties, including hotels, cities, cruise lines and the like, according to Travel + Leisure.

For each category, voters could choose between an excellent, above-average, average, below-average or poor ranking.

2. Santa Fe, New Mexico
3. Savannah, Georgia
4. Honolulu, Hawaii
5. New Orleans, Louisiana
6. San Antonio, Texas
7. Fort Worth, Texas
8. New York, New York
9. Chicago, Illinois 
10. Aspen, Colorado
11. Taos, New Mexico
12. Annapolis, Maryland
13. Nashville, Tennessee
14. Boston, Massachusetts 
15. Alexandria, Virginia

Savannah, Georgia 

The Hostess City of the South made the list – representing the Peach State at No. 3. With attractions such as Forsyth Park and a rich history, it's no wonder why Savannah made the cut for the best cities in the U.S. this year.
