ATLANTA — Travelers passing through Atlanta's airport just scored more choices for places to grab a bite to eat.
The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports that a Krispy Kreme, Saladworks and Great Wraps opened this past week in the Concourse C food court.
If those options don't pique your palate, local-based restaurant Bantam + Biddy is set to open Oct. and Minnesota-based pas-Asian restaurant chain Leeann Chin will follow, with a December opening.
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport spokesperson Elise Durham called the new dining choices as "complementary signature and/or healthy branded options that do not duplicate other immediately available choices, making them consistent with the airport’s overarching goal to provide more variety," in a statement to the Business Chronicle.
Construction of the roughly 8,000-square-foot space started in March of 2019 after a lengthy contracting and bidding process, and was anticipated to be in place between May and June. The price tag for the five new eateries cost about $7 million, according to the Chronicle.
