ATLANTA — Travelers will soon have even more international flight options when the Atlanta airport welcomes a new airline inside its gates.
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport announced a new partnership with Scandinavian Airlines Service "in a move to enhance global connectivity," an airport spokesperson said in a release Tuesday.
The new partnership will begin on June 17 and will offer daily nonstop flights between Atlanta and Copenhagen, Denmark.
The daily flight schedule will look like this:
- Copenhagen to Atlanta: 1:10 p.m. departure (CET), 5:10 p.m. arrival (EST)
- Atlanta to Copenhagen: 7 p.m. departure (EST), 10:20 a.m. arrival (CET)
"ATL's partnership with Scandinavian Airlines is a significant stride in elevating Atlanta's global accessibility,” Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens said. “This strategic partnership resonates with our city’s commitment to progress, presenting enriched travel experiences and solidifying Atlanta’s standing as a diverse destination for both business and leisure.”
The flights will be operated on an Airbus A330-300 with 262 seats.
Atlanta's international destinations now include travel to 45 countries and 77 cities.
