CANTON, Ga. — A man was killed during a severe storm outbreak in Cherokee County on Tuesday evening after a tree fell onto his car while driving, deputies said.
The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office said they found a 27-year-old man dead inside of his car in the 5700 block of Vaughn Road in Canton around 7:50 p.m. The tree crushed his car while the man was driving, deputies said.
Deputies said he was the only person inside the car.

The man's identity will not be released until next of kin has been notified.
