ATLANTA — It has been a very wet March across north Georgia, but things are shifting as the end of the month approaches.
These changes come just in time for the Easter holiday on Sunday.
Through this weekend, we are expecting warmer temperatures and the continuation of a dry forecast.
Saturday will be breezy and mild with highs in the mid 70s. Easter Sunday starts in the 50s for sunrise services. Afternoon highs will be around 80 degrees!
If you are heading out for a sunrise service on Sunday, the sunrise is at 7:25 a.m., and temperatures will be in the lower 50s under a mostly sunny sky. You may need a light jacket if you will be out early.
For Easter egg hunting late in the morning and into the afternoon for lunch, you won't need a jacket. Temperatures will be in the 60s and 70s.
Most importantly, we won't have any rain chances this weekend, so it will be perfect for families to get together.
The only downside to the forecast is that the lack of rain may lead to higher pollen counts, so be sure to take any allergy medication you may need. Pollen counts will likely stay 'extremely high' through the weekend.
