ATLANTA — The 11Alive StormTrackers are following developments as stormy conditions sprout up around metro Atlanta on Saturday.
Saturday morning began with a higher chance of showers and storms. A storm complex incoming from Tennessee early brought the conditions, especially north of I-20.
Scattered storms are also possible during afternoon. Once again that coverage of storms could increase this evening with another complex of storms moving into north Georgia.
A flash flood warning was issued for Henry, Jasper, Newton, Butts and Rockdale counties until 6:15 p.m. A separate flash flood warning is also in place for Troup and Meriwether counties until 6:45 p.m.
Isolated storms could become severe with gusty winds. Heavy rain and lightning will also be a factor. There is a Level 1 out of 5 threat for severe storms.
