ATHENS, Ga. — Several counties around the Athens area could see some light snow on Friday afternoon.
According to the Georgia Emergency Management & Homeland Security Agency, the areas where it may snow could see around up to half an inch.

Some of the counties where this could occur include a slice of Clark County as well as Oconee County, Oglethorpe County, Greene County, Madison County and some of Putnam County.
Georgia EM & HS posted that the any snow would likely fall through the afternoon and early evening. The agency said temperatures are expected to drop to or below 32 degrees between 7-10 p.m.
