ATLANTA — A wind advisory is in effect Tuesday morning following heavy rain that caused flooding in some areas of metro Atlanta.
The advisory is expected to last until 7 a.m., but 11Alive's Chesley McNeil said the wind could be felt into the evening.
Georgia Department of Transportation crews are working to clean up debris and trees that have fallen overnight from heavy rain and flooding.
Drivers should look out for excessive runoff that could cause water rises in creeks and streams, as well as low-lying areas on roadways due to flooding. Remember, never drive on a flooded roadway.
