NORTH CAROLINA, USA — Country star Eric Church gives his newest song, "Darkest Hour," to his home state after Hurricane Helene.
He announced that he had given North Carolina all publishing rights and proceeds from the record. In an Instagram video, he says he spends most of the year in western North Carolina.
"This song goes to my home, North Carolina, now and forever," Church said in the video.
He says the song was the best way he could think to try to help.
"This is not a quick thing to fix, so hopefully 'Darkest Hour' will be able to contribute to that for a long time to come," Church added.
Church grew up in Granite Falls, NC, just south of Blowing Rock. He also attended Appalachian State University and is a Tar Heels fan.
