Handful of post offices in Georgia still closed after Helene | List + service updates

The majority of facilities that were impacted have resumed operations, according to a USPS release.

AUGUSTA, Ga. — The vast majority of post offices impacted by Hurricane Helene in Georgia have resumed operations, the USPS said in a release on Monday, with a handful still using alternative locations.

In an update, the Postal Service provided a a full list of facilities that have resumed retail and delivery operations.

The following five, however, continue to operate out of an alternate location:

Lakeland, Georgia 

  • Facility address: 15 S. Valdosta Road
  • Alternate: Naylor Post Office, 6030 US-84 E
  • Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sat 9 a.m.-12 p.m.; Sun closed

Sharon, Georgia

  • Facility address: 116 Raytown Rd. NE
  • Alternate: Washington Post Office, 215 E Court Street
  • Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; Sat 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m.; Sun closed

Augusta-Martinez, Georgia

  • Facility address: 125 Commercial Blvd., Augusta
  • Alternate: Augusta-Peach Orchard Post Office, 3108 Peach Orchard Rd., Augusta
  • Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sat 9 a.m.-1 p.m.; Sun closed

Alma, Georgia

  • Facility address: 523 W 12th St.
  • Alternate: Baxley Post Office, 125 N Oak St.
  • Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; Sat 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.; Sun closed

Stillmore, Georgia
