People in Florence's path take to social media to show storm's destruction

Florence is unleashing its wrath on the Carolina coastline, rushing water ashore and causing major flooding.

Some people, like Amy and Ben Johnson, took to social media to show the damage to their home.

Their garage is almost completely underwater.

In New Bern, North Carolina, the city's beloved bear statues are apparently roaming around the storm waters -- even though the statue was bolted down.

One of the bears drifted into the middle of South Front Street downtown.

Another hard-hit town, Wilmington, North Carolina, endured hurricane-force winds that ripped up a tree in one neighborhood.
