ORLANDO, Fla. — Walt Disney World has announced closures and adjusted park hours as Hurricane Milton continues its track toward Florida.
Disney theme parks, including Disney Springs, will begin closing in phases at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
Disney parks closing
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park will close at 1 p.m.
- Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT and Disney Springs will close at 2 p.m.
The parks will likely remain closed on Thursday, Oct. 10, though leaders say they will consider reopening Disney Springs in a limited capacity late Thursday afternoon.
"This includes the cancellation of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom park on Thursday, October 10. Event tickets will be refunded," park leaders wrote.
Disney hotels closing
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa will close at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
They will likely remain closed until Sunday, Oct. 13.
Disney buses, trams closing
All Walt Disney World transportation will stop operating around 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9, after Disney Springs and all Disney parks close.
Limited Minnie Van and Mears taxi services will be available to Walt Disney World Resort guests.
Disney water parks closing
Typhoon Lagoon water park, Winter Summerland Miniature Golf and Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf will be closed on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park remains closed for ongoing refurbishment.
Disney leaders say all prepaid bookable experiences will be automatically refunded within 7 to 10 business days. All cancellation policies will be suspended until further notice.
