Tropical Storm Debby making landfall on SC coast

Rain and flood risk continues for the Atlantic coast.

ATLANTA — As of the 11pm advisory Wednesday, tropical storm Debby is about to make official landfall on the South Carolina coast between Charleston and Myrtle Beach.

A few outer rain bands stretch into southeast Georgia, but much of the rain associated with Debby is over South Carolina or the Atlantic.  As Debby moves northeast, isolated showers and storms will once again be possible in north Georgia for the end of the week.

Tropical Storm Warnings continue for the South Carolina coast including portions of inland for South Carolina. 

Tropical Storm Watches extend through coastal North Carolina from Surf City to Beaufort Inlet.

After this second landfall, the remnants will pick up speed and move quickly to the north and east over land.
