ATLANTA — Tropical storm Bonnie has crossed from Atlantic to Pacific Ocean Basin.
Because its circulation stayed intact, it is still Bonnie. This is an uncommon occurrence to happen. If it had been torn apart and then reemerged, it would've gotten a new name from the Pacific list -- Darby.
As it reemerges in the Eastern Pacific, it will have the potential to strengthen into a hurricane eventually as it moves WNW near Mexico.
No impacts to the U.S. are expected.
