ATLANTA — Tropical depression Danny dissipated early Tuesday morning after bringing 3" to 4" to our neighbors in middle Georgia overnight. The Atlanta metro area received less than an inch from this event. The system was a tropical storm for less than 24 hours
Now our attention turns to the middle of the Atlantic where two more disturbances are moving quickly westward.
The first disturbance is near the Lesser Antilles and now does not look favorable for any additional development. The second is located still 1300 miles away from the Windward islands and will likely become a tropical depression or named storm within the next few days. The next name on the list is Elsa.
Hurricane Season started June 1. NOAA is predicting a more active than normal season in the Atlantic.
