Live updates | Storms make their way through Georgia on Memorial Day

ATLANTA — Isolated storms and showers are forecasted to impact Memorial Day plans.

Monday will welcome temperatures near 90 degrees and usher in storms in North Georgia. The inclement weather is expected to move in Monday evening.

Parts of Georgia could expect thunderstorm warnings, lightning and rounds of heavy rain. People can see when showers move into their area using live radar. The 11Alive Stormtrackers will also have updates on 11Alive's Roku and FireTV apps.

8:05 p.m. | Dark clouds loom over Sharpsburg with the storm bringing a heavy downpour to parts of the area. Share your photos in 11Alive's Stormtrackers Facebook group.

6:30 p.m. | Severe thunderstorm warning expires in Walton County. Cities such as Monroe, Loganville and Campton continue to see heavy rain. 

6:15 p.m. | Parts of North Georgia are seeing lightning and storms move across the state.

Storms are producing frequent lightning in Jasper, Morgan, Oconee, and Greene counties as they move northwest. Remember - if thunder roars, go indoors!

6 p.m. | Walton County is under a thunderstorm warning until 6:30 p.m. The storm is moving northwest and can produce 60 mph wind and quarter-sized hail.

5:30 p.m. | Dark clouds are looming over Athens as storms start to roll in. Remember, when thunder roars, head indoors.
