ATLANTA — A storm system moved through metro Atlanta Sunday evening and overnight, bringing heavy rains and strong winds to the area.
As of early Monday morning, the storms are now moving out of our area, with a small chance for some continued isolated showers as we progress towards the afternoon.
In the meantime, we'll be tracking damage reports and power outages left behind by the storm system.

Here's what we're seeing out there so far:
Power outages
Georgia Power
According to the Georgia Power outage map as of 8:45 a.m., there's outage clusters in:
- Northwest Georgia, most significantly around Rome. There are 61 outages affecting nearly 1,000 customers (988).
- Around Atlanta there are 32 outages affecting 603 customers, with Hapeville seeing about 450 customers affected.
EMC
By the EMC outage map, currently as of 8:45 a.m. we're seeing:
- 708 outages in north Georgia
- 299 in metro Atlanta
Damage
We've had several reports of trees down, including:
- Evergreen Lane in Atlanta's Collier Hills neighborhood.
- Tree on a home on Chesapeake Way in East Point.
- Some earlier wires down calls on Dodson Drive (Campbellton Road area) and Collier Road (near the tree down call above).
- There's a road closure in Forsyth County due to a downed power line.
