Rain, storms move across Georgia in the evening hours

ATLANTA — We're heading into Saturday evening with storms still heading across Georgia. Here's what you need to know to navigate your weekend and stay dry - as well as safe.

LIVE UPDATES:

8:23 PM | A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Heard County until 9 p.m.

5:34 PM | A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Gwinnett County until 6 p.m.

4:45 PM | Six people are recovering after a lightning strike at the PGA TOUR Championship, the final of the FedEx Cup at East Lake Golf Club.  The injuries allegedly came from debris flying off of a tree that was hit by the lightning. All were alert when taken to area hospitals.

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - Six people are recovering after a lightning strike at East Lake Golf Club in DeKalb County Saturday afternoon. The strike happened at the course near the 16th tee. The golf club is currently hosting the PGA TOUR Championship, the final of the FedEx Cup.

4:35 PM | Take cover in East Lake. Storms are moving in.

4:32 PM | Quarter-size hail was reported in Forsyth County with a resident sending confirmation from the area of Pilgrim Mill and Still roads.

3:30 PM | A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Gilmer and Pickens counties until 4:15 p.m.

2:52 PM | Lynn Sniscak Stallworth captured these ominous clouds over Chestnut Mountain but said that it has looked like this for roughly five days without any rain falling.
