ATLANTA — A round of severe storms fueled by heat and humidity moved through metro Atlanta Thursday.
Damage has been reported in multiple counties and thousands of Georgia Power customers are being impacted by outages.

Storm updates from Thursday, July 20
9:30 p.m. | The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office posted a photo of damage at the Clayton Food Store.
8:50 p.m. | 11Alvie spoke to Calhoun Fire officials about the strong winds that tore down the exterior wall of a fitness center.
7:50 p.m. | Photos from across metro Atlanta and north Georgia show downed trees and significant storm damage from the powerful winds and severe thunderstorms that rolled through.

7:30 p.m. | 11Alive's Cody Alcorn shared more photos of the dock damaged at Lake Lanier.
7:10 p.m. | Athens-Clarke County Police said there are multiple repots of trees and power lines down throughout the county.
7:08 p.m. | The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said it has several reports of trees and power lines down due to the storm.
7:03 p.m. | A photo from McNeil Road in Hoschton in Jackson County shows a tree toppled on top of a car.
6:55 p.m. | A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for multiple counties: Baldwin; Bibb; Butts; Clayton; Coweta; Emanuel; Fayette; Glascock; Greene; Hancock; Henry; Jasper; Jefferson; Johnson; Jones; Lamar; Laurens; Monroe; Montgomery; Morgan; Newton; Pike; Putnam; Spalding; Taliaferro; Toombs; Treutlen; Twiggs; Warren; Washington; Wilkinson

6:51 p.m. | Check out the video we received of the rain coming down in Hoschton.
6:49 p.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning for Clayton, DeKalb, Fulton, Henry, Newton and Rockdale counties is set to expire at 7 p.m.
6:48 p.m. | 11Alive received a photo of that shows some damage at a dock on Lake Alatoona.
6:38 p.m. | The Calhoun Police Department shared photos of damage at a fitness center, Firehouse Gym Calhoun. It's located along Curtis Parkway. Strong winds knocked down an exterior wall. No on was hurt, according to the police department.
6:18 p.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning is now in effect until 7 p.m. for Banks, Barrow, Clarke, DeKalb, Gwinnett, Hall, Jackson, Madison, Morgan, Newton, Oconee, Oglethorpe, Rockdale, and Walton counties.
6:01 p.m. | Fulton, Cobb, DeKalb, Gwinnett, Floyd, Bartow, Polk, Chattooga, Cherokee and Paulding counties are under a severe thunderstorm warning until 6:45 p.m.
5:45 p.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Cherokee County until 6:30 p.m.
5:39 p.m. | Habersham and Stephens counties are now under a severe thunderstorm warning until 6:15 p.m.
5:35 p.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Hall, Gwinnett, Forsyth, Jackson, Dawson, Cherokee, Banks, Barrow, and Fulton counties until 6:15 p.m.
4:13 p.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Catoosa, Murray, Whitfield, Walker, and Dade County until 5:15 p.m.
4:00 p.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for northeastern Gilmer County, southwestern Union County, southeastern Fannin County until 4:45 p.m.
3:23 p.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Union, Fannin, and Towns counties until 4 p.m.
3:17 p.m. | A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for parts of north Georgia.
