BLUE RIDGE, Ga. — A winter storm brought snow, sleet and freezing rain to north Georgia on Sunday.
Sunday morning, residents were in for a wintry mix and snow, ongoing with a slushy, slick and snow-covered road.
Although the storm kept people in the area inside their homes for the most part, as authorities like the Governor Brian Kemp and emergency agencies across the region advised people to stay off the roads, people were still able to enjoy the winter weather.
11Alive's Brendan Keefe captured a bird's eye view of the north Georgia mountains. You can see the flakes cover the ground as they fall along the roadway, dusting hills and valleys in the area.
