ATLANTA — There are several reports of snow falling across north Georgia this morning. The snow has been reported as close to metro Atlanta as Buford and as far north as Helen.
Other areas where 11Alive StormTrackers have spotted the white stuff is Gainesville, Oakwood, Braselton, Lakemont and Big Canoe.
The morning rain is cooling off the air just enough to get snowflakes to form over northern parts of the Atlanta metro. Locations above 2500 feet in elevation can expect snow for the rest of the morning too. Minor accumulations are possible on elevated surfaces, according to 11Alive meteorologist Wes Peery.
In Clarksville, a StormTracker sent us beautiful video of the snow falling, as well as other StormTrackers in the Facebook group.
The photos of the white stuff are also coming in to the 11Alive Facebook page. Be sure to share yours with us.
