Snow falling in north Georgia mountains

Some far north Georgia counties, including Murray, Whitfield and Fannin counties, are under a Winter Storm Warning.

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. — It may not quite be like the blizzards other parts of the country are seeing, but there is indeed some snow in Georgia on Monday morning.

Some far north Georgia counties, including Murray, Whitfield, Fannin, Dade, Walker and Catoosa counties, are under a Winter Storm Warning, which is where some spots could get up to two inches of snow with a small amount of freezing rain as well.

A camera on Lookout Mountain in Georgia shows snow steadily falling in that area. You can watch it in the video player above this story or in the YouTube player below.

Other cameras are available from the U.S. Forest Service at Brasstown Bald, the highest point in Georgia -- though as of around 11 a.m. Monday they weren't showing any snow impact.

You can watch those two cameras here and here.
