ATLANTA — After a morning of storms that brought a tornado to parts of west Georgia, we are in for another round of thunderstorms that could be severe in metro Atlanta late Sunday evening into the early hours of Monday morning.
Storms produced damage in areas west and south of Atlanta Sunday morning. Some storms through the remainder of the day may be strong to severe. Damaging wind will be the main threat, but a brief, spin-up tornado could also be possible.

12:49 a.m. | A flash flood warning has been issued for Spalding, Henry, Butts and Lamar counties until 6:45 a.m.
12:48 a.m. | An 11Alive viewer in South Fulton snapped photos of golf ball-sized hail that came down in their backyard.
12:34 a.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Putnam, Greene, Morgan, Oconee, Jasper, Oglethorpe until 1:30 a.m.
12:22 a.m. | A flash flood warning has been issued for Troup, Meriwether, Lamar, Upson, Heard, Pike, Coweta and Spalding counties until 1:15 a.m.
12:18 a.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Butts, Morgan, Jasper, Newton and Spalding counties until 1:15 a.m.
12:10 a.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Henry, Rockdale, Walton, DeKalb, Spalding, Gwinnett and Clayton counties until 12:15 a.m.
11:58 p.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for the cities of LaGrange, Manchester and Hogansville until 1:15 a.m.
11:49 p.m. | Upson County Road is now closed after the road cracked and broke up due to severe weather.
11:32 p.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Clayton, Fayette, Henry and Coweta counties until 12:15 a.m.
11:21 p.m. | A flash flood warning was issued for Randolph, Chambers, Tallapoosa counties until 12:45 a.m.
11 p.m. | 11Alive Chief Meteorologist Chris Holcomb provided an 11 p.m. update regarding several severe thunderstorm warnings in metro Atlanta.
10:41 p.m. | Flash flood warning issued for Atlanta airport and north Atlanta until 4:30 a.m.
10:31 p.m. | A flash flood warning has been issued for Fulton, DeKalb, Gwinnett and Clayton counties until 4:30 a.m. Officials warn to not drive on a flooded road.
10:29 p.m. | Several 11Alive viewers took videos of hail pouring down outside their homes.
10:23 p.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Gwinnett, Hall, Barrow, Jackson and Forsyth counties until 11:00 p.m.
10:04 p.m. | A multiple car wreck has left multiple people injured and has blocked four lanes on I-85 northbound near Shallowford Road.
9:59 p.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Fulton, DeKalb and Gwinnett counties until 10:30 p.m.
9:50 p.m. | Monitor the live radar as severe thunderstorms move across north Georgia.
9:41 p.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, East Point, and Union City until 10 p.m.
9:38 p.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Greene and Oglethorpe counties until 10 p.m.
9:32 p.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning issued for Fulton, Clayton and DeKalb counties until 10 p.m. with "considerable damage possible" with radar-indicated winds of up to 60 mph and large hail an inch to an inch-and-three-quarters in diameter.
9:30 p.m. | Gov. Brian Kemp will tour storm-damaged communities on Monday in the communities of West Point and Milledgeville that were ravaged by damage.

9:21 p.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Crawford, Woodville and Lexington until 10 p.m.

8:49 p.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Peachtree City, Newnan and Grantville until 9:30 p.m.
8:45 p.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Heard, Coweta and Troup counties until 9:15 p.m.

8:03 p.m. | After initially declaring Troup County schools would remain open Monday, all schools in the Troup County School System will now be closed on Monday.
7:53 p.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Troup, Harris and Meriwether counties until 8:30 p.m.
7:23 p.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Troup and Harris counties until 8 p.m.
7:08 p.m. | A tornado watch has been issued for Cleburne and Randolph counties in Alabama.
4:38 p.m. | Meriwether County schools are closed Monday following powerful storms and due to continued flooding in the area. Troup County Schools will operate as normal, however.
3:10 p.m. | County officials say 20-30 homes are considered a complete loss, while 80 to 100 have major damage. Officials are working with FEMA and GEMA. They are hoping to get a better estimate this evening.
3:05 p.m. | Schools in Troup County will be open on Monday. Some bus routes may need to be adjusted.
3 p.m. | West Point Road between Webb Road and the city limits of West Point is closed to traffic.
2:30 p.m. | A Flood Watch remains in effect until 8 a.m. Monday for areas south and east of Atlanta.
1:40 p.m. | Troup County fire chief Michael Strickland says there have been five reported injuries. Three have already been discharged from the hospital. There are no fatalities reported at this time.

1 p.m. | A temporary shelter has been established for those with damage at the West Point Parks and Rec / Point University gym off Highway 29 in West Point.
11:10 a.m. | Gov. Brian Kemp issues State of Emergency following Sunday morning storms.

10:50 a.m. | A second tiger that was loose from Wild Animal Safari has been captured, but one still remains unaccounted for.
10:40 a.m. | Georgia EMC is reporting more than 4,000 outages in west and central Georgia.
10:20 a.m. | The Red Cross has opened a shelter for tornado victims at West Point Gymnasium on Avenue D.
9:40 a.m. | Delays up to an hour reported at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
9:35 a.m. | Gov. Brian Kemp tweets warning to Georgians: "As severe weather continues in these and other parts of our state, we urge Georgians to be mindful of how they can best keep themselves and their families safe."
9:30 a.m. | The Troup County Emergency Management Agency says they have "multiple crews out on search and rescue missions, reports of multiple buildings damaged or destroyed, power lines down, trees down blocking roads." They said there are no storm related injuries reported.
9:25 a.m. | There are reports that Verizon cell service is interrupted in the Troup County area.
9:15 a.m. | Tornado sirens going off in West Point, however, the 11Alive StormTrackers say there is no tornado threat at the moment.

8:40 a.m. | The Troup County sheriff's office say they received a word from the Pine Mountain Animal Safari that they are reporting a Tiger is unaccounted for inside the park.
8:35 a.m. | A Flash Flood Warning was issued for Meriwether, Pike and Upson counties until 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
8:30 a.m. | Sheriff in Troup County urging residents to stay off the roads.
8:20 a.m. | Troup County sheriff's office says they have "multiple reports" of damage and trees down.
7:55 a.m. | I-85 blocked both directions north of Ga 103 in Troup County and also in the West Point area.
7:35 a.m. | We're getting reports of trees down near the Kia plant along I-85 and also that I-185 in Troup County is shut down.
7:30 a.m. | Tornado watch issued until 1 p.m. south of Atlanta.
7:25 a.m. | Severe thunderstorm warnings issued for Spalding, Butts, Henry, Pike, Lamar and Monroe counties until 8:15 a.m.
7:20 a.m. | Homes destroyed along West Point Road near LaGrange. We're also hearing reports of heavy damage to West Point Hotel.
7:10 a.m. | Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for Meriwether County until 8 a.m.
7:05 a.m. | A confirmed large tornado has touched down over Baughs Crossroads in southern Troup County heading toward Meriwether.
7 a.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning issued for Baldwin, Putnam, Jones, Hancock, Jasper and Greene counties until 7:45 a.m.
6:55 a.m. | Tornado Warning issued for West Point, Pine Mountain and Stovall until 7:30 a.m. in Troup, Harris and Meriwether counties.
6:42 a.m. | A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Spalding, Pike, Fayette, Coweta, Lamar, Meriwether.
6:35 a.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Morgan, Newton, Jasper and Putnam counties until 7:30 a.m.
5:30 a.m. | A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 9 a.m. for areas south of I-20 and west of Putnam county. This includes the following counties: Clayton, Henry, Rockdale, Newton, Fayette, Coweta, Heard, Troup, Meriwether, Spalding, Pike, Lamar, Upson, Butts, and Jasper. We are tracking developing storms that could produce large, dangerous hail and damaging winds. The tornado threat is low but not zero.
