ATLANTA — The severe weather threat has diminished for our area overnight Wednesday into Thursday. The stronger storms remain well to the south.
The wind remains the main threat for us though. Winds Wednesday night started really whipping up behind the main area of rain. We could see wind gusts between 30-40mph.
The wind lets up a little Thursday morning, then it becomes gusty again Thursday afternoon.
Timeline
Thursday morning
A few showers and storms may linger through the day on Thursday, but rain will be much more isolated.
Thursday afternoon
Rain comes to an end once the cold front moves through Thursday afternoon. We're left with only a few showers for the second half of the day, and sunshine begins to break through the clouds by sunset.
