ATLANTA — Summer storms are making their way across metro Atlanta Tuesday, with some counties at risk of being under a severe weather advisory.
Forecasters said people should expect scattered showers and storms throughout the day and into the evening. With the extra cloud cover, high temperatures will be in the upper 80s. Similar weather is expected to linger throughout the week.

6:46 p.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Greene, Oconee, Oglethorpe and Morgan counties until 7:15 p.m.
5:26 p.m. | A new severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for portions of Carroll, Coweta, and Fulton counties. This is set to expire at 5:45 p.m.
4:30 p.m. | A thunderstorm moving east along Interstate 20 could impact evening commutes. 11Alive meteorologist Andrew Wilson notes a lot of lightning, heavy rain and possibly damaging winds could come with the storm.
4:15 p.m. | Several metro Atlanta counties were under a severe thunderstorm warning. The National Weather Service issued the advisory for Fulton, Cobb, Douglas, Paulding and Carroll counties until 5 p.m.
