ATLANTA — The tropics are still very active. We have multiple systems to watch this week.
Tropical Storm Karen
We continue to track Karen. The latest update shows Karen is barely a tropical storm. It will move north, then east, then south, then west. As it loops, it will also lose strength.
NHC has this system becoming an area of low pressure as it meanders in the Atlantic.
We will keep watching it to see if it holds together as it moves westward toward the Atlantic Coast.
Hurricane Lorenzo
Lorenzo is now a major category 3 hurricane. It could become a category 4 storm Friday. It is forecast to stay away from land and remain in the Atlantic.
