BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — U-Haul is offering storm victims a place to store their belongings in the wake of a devastating and deadly storm that left communities in Alabama and Georgia without homes.
The company will offer 30 days of free storage to those in need at two facilities in both Georgia and Alabama.

Several destructive tornadoes tore through the states, Sunday evening. The storms ripped up whole homes, blew over trees and left many in the disaster zones without power. The powerful storms even claimed the lives of 23 people in Lee County, Alabama, just over the Georgia state line.

U-Haul said it will provide supplies to help with storm recovery, including boxes, tarps, propane and propane tanks. Families seeking additional information or needing to arrange for 30 days free self-storage should contact the nearest participating facility.
This is not the first time U-Haul has provided the free storage option. It did so during Hurricane Michael and Hurricane Florence clean-up.
