ATLANTA -- Weather patterns across the world continue to be impacted by what's being called the strongest El Niño ever recorded.
Records have been kept on the weather system since 1950. The current El Niño ties the system from 1997-98 -- the strongest on record.
Locally, the system's influence has caused the second-wettest December on record. It was also the warmest December ever recorded.
