Free storm cleanup assistance available through Crisis Cleanup Hotline

The hotline is available through Oct. 11.
Helene caused the Chattahoochee River to overflow -- prompting flooding in Cobb County.

GEORGIA, USA — The Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency (GEMA/HS) is encouraging residents impacted by Hurricane Helene to call the Crisis Cleanup Hotline to assist with storm-related damages.

The hotline, 844-965-1386, is now open and will connect homeowners in affected areas with volunteer groups who can help clean up debris and perform other recovery tasks.

The Crisis Cleanup Hotline is a collaborative disaster work order management platform that coordinates relief efforts by matching requests with volunteers from local faith communities, civic groups, and disaster response organizations. Their goal is to provide free help to those in need, ensuring a more organized and efficient cleanup process.
